The condition of the indoor gas installation (or gas diagnosis) is a diagnosis that evaluates the risks that may endanger the safety of people and their property.
Namely:
If the installation has already been modified and has been the subject of a certificate of conformity, there is no need to have a gas diagnosis carried out.
To be valid, the certificate of conformity must be less than 6 years old before the lease is signed. It must come from a body approved by the Minister responsible for energy.
Dwellings concerned
You must have a diagnosis carried out in case of renting a dwelling (apartment, individual house) if the gas installation is more than 15 years old.
The facilities included in the outbuildings of individual houses are also concerned.
Who should make the diagnosis?
You must use a certified diagnostician.
The diagnosis is carried out without dismantling the installations.
Transmission of diagnosis
You must integrate the diagnosis with the various diagnoses included in the technical diagnostic file (DDT).
You must give the DDT to the tenant when you sign the lease.
How long is the diagnosis valid?
The diagnosis is valid for 6 years.
